We left the harbour early morning and headed down along the coast. The boat was running like a dream and pushing along well. We had a few drifts for bait and soon had plenty of fresh launce and a few chunky mackerel. Bottom rigs were baited and sent down to the sandy seabed. Throughout the day we found a number of Plaice... Of course being skipper i had to show them up with a double shot! Liam found a better Dab and even a Lesser Weever... A few other bits and pieces were showing including some Grey Gurnards to up the species count. A successful first fishing trip with the target species caught. It was an enjoyable day with a good bit of fun and the sun stayed out all day too. Summer is on the way!
